PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK ORGANIK TERHADAP SERANGAN PENYAKIT LAYU FUSARIUM DAN PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN TOMAT (Lycopersicum esculentum L.)
Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum L.) are one of the high value horticultural commodities widely cultivated in Indonesia. However, tomato productivity in Indonesia is still considered low compared to the potential yield that should be achievable. One of the main obstacles in tomato cultivation is the attack of Fusarium wilt disease caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of organic fertilizer application on the intensity of Fusarium wilt disease attacks, to determine the effectiveness of specific types of organic fertilizer in suppressing Fusarium wilt disease, and to improve tomato plant growth. This research was conducted on the research land owned by PT. Berdi Organik Internasional, in Songgom Hamlet, Tanjung Village, Surian District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. This research uses a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 1 control (P0), each with 2 replications. There are 4 types of fertilizer used in this study, namely organic fertilizer (P1), coal fertilizer (P2), liquid organic fertilizer (P3), and chemical fertilizer 40% + organic fertilizer 60% (P4). Based on the observation results and further testing, there was a significant difference between treatments P1 and P0. Treatment P1 had the lowest disease incidence among all treatments, while P0 had the highest. Not only does it produce the best vegetative growth, as evidenced by increased plant height, number of branches, and number of leaves, but it also yields the highest fruit weight and best organoleptic quality. but also in increasing the growth, productivity, and quality of tomato crop yields.
