PENGARUH KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI TERHADAP MASALAH STUNTING BALITA DI PROVINSI DENGAN TINGKAT PREVALENSI TERTINGGI DI INDONESIA
This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic conditions specifically Poverty Rate, Economic Growth, Human Development Index (HDI), and Sanitation on the prevalence of stunting in the 10 Indonesia provinces with the highest prevalence rates in 2022. The study utilizes panel data combining cross-sectional data from these provinces with time-series data from 2018 to 2022. The analytical method employed is Panel Data Regression, with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) selected as the best estimation approach based on model specification tests. Empirical results indicate that Access to Proper Sanitation has a negative and significant effect on stunting prevalence. Conversely, macroeconomic variables (Poverty Rate, Economic Growth, and HDI) demonstrated no significant effect on stunting reduction in these high-prevalence areas. These findings suggest that structural infrastructure improvements, particularly in sanitation, are more effective in reducing stunting in priority regions compared to reliance on macroeconomic indicators alone.
