POTENSI Brassica rapa L. YANG DIINDUKSI JAMUR ENDOFITIK ENTOMOPATOGEN SEBAGAI ATRAKTAN Telenomus sp. (HYMENOPTERA: SCELIONIDAE)
Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) represents a significant pest for Brassicaceae crops, with the extent of damage being contingent upon the larval population density. An escalation in population from 0.1 to 3.17 larvae per plant can elevate damage from 2% to 54%. The aim of this research is to determine the attraction of Telenomus sp. to Brassica rapa L. induced by entomopathogenic endophytic fungi. The research employed a preference test using an olfactometer within a Randomized Block Design (RBD) utilizing six entomopathogenic endophytic fungal isolates. The results showed that Telenomus sp. in Screening 1, the isolate WTTJC290521A (Beauveria bassiana) exhibited a significant difference in its attraction to parasitoids. In Screening 2, the response of the parasitoid to the attractants exhibited a significant difference, with isolate WTTJC290521B (B. bassiana) demonstrating a significant (P-value < 0.005) distinction when compared to WTTJC290621C (Metharizium anisopliae). This difference suggests that the parasitoid exhibits a more pronounced response to the attractants generated by B. bassiana in comparison to M. anisopliae. In Screening 3, the parasitoid exhibited a greater attraction to WTTJC290521B compared to WTTJC290521A, with the difference being statistically significant (P-value < 0.05). Finally, this research concludes that the introduction of entomopathogenic endophytic fungi in B. rapa, specifically the isolate WTTJC290521B (B. bassiana) demonstrates the highest level of attraction to egg parasitoids. It is recommended to use various egg parasitoid species in future research to determine the ability of these entomopathogenic endophytic fungi against different natural enemies.
