PENGARUH INTENSITAS DAN DURASI KONTEN TIKTOK BERTEMA SKRIPSI TERHADAP SELF-EFFICACY MAHASISWA DI KOTA PALEMBANG
This study aims to examine the effect of the intensity and duration of watching thesis-themed TikTok content on students’ self-efficacy in Palembang City. TikTok, as a short-video-based social media platform, is increasingly used by students as a source of information and motivation during the thesis-writing process. This research employed a quantitative approach involving 101 undergraduate students from various universities in Palembang who actively use TikTok and are currently writing or have completed their thesis. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that the intensity and duration of watching thesis-themed TikTok content simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ self-efficacy. Partially, both variables also show a positive influence, meaning that higher frequency and longer duration of exposure to thesis-related TikTok content are associated with higher levels of self-efficacy among students. These findings suggest that exposure to educational content on social media can support students’ self-efficacy in an academic context.
