ANALISIS DETERMINAN PEMANFAATAN LAYANAN TELEMEDISIN DI INDONESIA
Telemedicine is an innovative health service with the potential to expand access, particularly in archipelagic countries such as Indonesia. However, utilization rates based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) data are only around 2.2%. This figure reflects a significant gap between the availability of digital health services and their adoption by the population. This study aims to analyze telemedicine utilization and its determinants using data from the 2023 SKI. A total of 638,178 respondents were analyzed using a complex sample approach and binary logistic regression based on Andersen’s Behavioral Model framework. The results show variations in utilization across provinces, with most archipelagic provinces falling into the lowest category, while provinces such as Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, and West Java exhibit the highest utilization. Significant predisposing factors include age, sex, education, and place of residence. Enabling factors such as economic status, health insurance ownership, and accessibility of health facilities are also significantly associated. Furthermore, respondents with chronic diseases have higher odds of utilizing telemedicine. This study highlights regional disparities in telemedicine utilization and variations in use based on individual characteristics. The findings underscore the need for strategies to enhance telemedicine adoption through strengthened digital literacy, improved infrastructure readiness, and the development of more inclusive services to support equitable digital health transformation in Indonesia.
