ANALISIS MIKROSTRUKTUR LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE DENGAN PENAMBAHAN GLASS POWDER DAN VARIASI W/C
The main material commonly used in construction is concrete. Concrete technology is still being developed to achieve building materials that are environmentally friendly and of high quality. Glass powder can be a sustainable product in the construction industry and its use can reduce environmental impact, so research is carried out that utilizes waste materials to replace natural materials. Glass powder is used as a substitute for cement. This study used 30% glass powder with w/c variations of 0.4; 0.5; and 0.6. The ratio of foam and cement paste was 0.35 and 0.65 and the ratio of foam agent and water was 1:40. Hard concrete testing in the form of specific gravity and compressive strength as well as XRD and SEM microstructure testing. Based on the research, the specific gravity of w/c variations 0.4; 0.5; and 0.6 were 1518.3; 1268.0; and 1197.1 kg/m3 respectively and the compressive strength was 5.47; 3.08; and 2.44 MPa respectively. The w/c 0.4 variation has the highest specific gravity and compressive strength with SEM and XRD test results showing that the sample has few pores, is small in size, and produces the highest amorphous percentage of 96.71%. The lowest specific gravity and compressive strength values are at w/c 0.6, because from the SEM and XRD test results, many pores are formed, larger in size, and have an amorphous percentage of 95.88%.
