PRA-RANCANGAN PABRIK KALSIUM KARBONAT KAPASITAS 60.000 TON/TAHUN
ABSTRACT PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF A CALCIUM CARBONATE PRODUCTION PLANT WITH CAPACITY OF 60,000 TONS/YEAR Scientific Paper in the form of a Undergraduate Thesis, January 2026 Renaldi Indarto and Muhammad Azim; Supervised by Dr. Budi Santoso, S.T, M.T. Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Sriwijaya University ABSTRACT This calcium carbonate production plant with a capacity of 60,000 tons/year is planned to be established in 2033 on Jl. Raya Sembayat, Manyar District, Gresik Regency, East Java Province. The plant area is estimated to be 11 hectares. The plant process is based on U.S. Patent No. 2024351903 A1, using raw materials in the form of calcium hydroxide, water, and carbon dioxide. The carbonation process uses three CSTR-type reactors equipped with spargers arranged in series. The mixing tank operates at 40°C and 1 atm, while the three reactors operate at 40°C and 0.8 atm. This plant is established as a Limited Liability Company (PT) and implements a line and staff organizational structure, led by a director and supported by 141 employees. Based on economic feasibility analysis, the establishment of this plant is considered viable to be realized: ❖ Total Capital Investment : US$ 70.531.745,6706 ❖ Net Profit Over Total life Time : US$ 227.863.740,0969 ❖ Total Capital Sink (TCS) : US$ 209.221.999,6975 ❖ Pay Out Time (POT) : 2,7 tahun ❖ Rate of Return on Investment (ROR) : 28,17% ❖ Discounted Cash Flow : 34,98% ❖ Break Even Poin (BEP) : 33,73% Keywords: Calcium Carbonate, Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor, Limited Liability Company.
