PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TEMULAWAK (Curcuma zanthorrhiza) DAN MAGGOT ( Hermetia iluciens l) PADA PAKAN KOMERSIAL TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP BENIH IKAN BAWAL BINTANG (Trachinotus blochii)
This research is motivated by the economic value of the silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii) and its popularity among the public. In cultivation activities, feed plays an important role as the main factor influencing fish growth. Slow growth in fish is a major obstacle in the cultivation system. Efforts were made by adding natural ingredients of Javanese turmeric (Curcuma zanthorrhiza) and maggot (Hermetia illucens l) to commercial feed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the combination of Javanese turmeric and maggot on growth rate, survival rate and analyze the best feed conversion ratio for silver pompano. This study was conducted for 28 days at the Lampung Marine Aquaculture Center using a Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey's advanced test. The results showed that the C treatment of 12 g/kg of Javanese turmeric gave the best results with an absolute weight gain of 4.65 g, a length of 2.01 cm, a daily growth rate of 2.01%, an FCR of 1.92, and a survival rate of 90–100%. The addition of 12 g/kg of Javanese turmeric to commercial feed was proven to increase the growth of silver pompano fry without reducing their survival
