KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI KODULAR PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATERI SEGITIGA KONTEKS BUSANA “AESAN GEDE”

Yas, Husnul Khotimah - Personal Name;

Mathematical literacy is a person's ability to formulate, use, and interpret mathematics in various contexts, including mathematical reasoning and using mathematical concepts, procedures, facts, and tools to illustrate, explain, and predict events. This study aims to describe the literacy skills of junior high school students using the Kodular application in the context of “aesan gede” clothing, covering the material of the area and perimeter of triangles, with the research subjects being three seventh-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using tests, observations, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that learning using the Kodular application-based learning media on the area and perimeter of triangles in the context of “aesan gede” fashion can develop literacy skills. Students can produce indicators of formulating (identifying important information, simplifying real situations into mathematical forms, and modeling problems of triangle perimeter and area), using (selecting and using strategies, formulas, or mathematical operations appropriate to triangle perimeter and area), and interpreting (interpreting calculation results logically, relating them back to the problem context, and communicating conclusions). The most frequently appearing indicators are formulating (identifying important information, simplifying real situations into mathematical forms, modeling problems) and the least frequently appearing indicators are interpreting (interpreting calculation results logically, relating them back to the context of the problem, and communicating conclusions). The most common mistake occurs because some students are still fixated on memorizing formulas and procedural steps, so they focus more on calculating numbers than understanding how the results relate to the context of real-life problems. Keywords: Literacy Skills, Triangle, Codular, Aesan Gede
