STRATEGI KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA DI DALAM PODCAST CHANNEL YOUTUBE DR. RICHARD LEE, MARS TENTANG KASUS RIDWAN KAMIL DAN LISA MARIANA

This study aims to explain the application of politeness strategies in language contained in dr. Richard Lee, MARS`s YouTube Channel Podcast, regarding the case of Ridwan Kamil and Lisa Mariana. This study focuses on the issue of how politeness in language is applied in digital communication that discusses sensitive topics and risks causing disputes. The method use is qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. The data collected were verbal and nonverbal utterances taken from podcast transcripts, with a total of 411 utterances. The data collection technique was carried out by observasing and recording, while the data analysis used the politeness strategy theory proposed by Pramujiono (2020). The research findings show that of the 411 utterances, there are 100 utterances tht countain thirteen politeness strategies are giving attention and maximizing attention. In addition, politeness in language appears not only in verbal form, but is also reinforced by nonverbal elements. This study concludes that politeness in language is very important for maintaining harmony, effectiveness, and ethics in communication through digital podcast media.
