ANALISIS KESIAPSIAGAAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP BENCANA BANJIR DI DESA TOMAN KECAMATAN BABAT TOMAN KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN

Flood is an event or condition in which an area or land is submerged due to an increase in water volume. According to BNPB (2024), the number of flood disasters in Musi Banyuasin Regency in 2023 was 9 times and in 2024 it was 5 times. Toman Village was chosen as the research location due to its frequent flooding and its topographical location in a lowland area near a river. This situation makes the village highly vulnerable, making it an ideal location for assessing community preparedness for flooding. This study aims to analyze the preparedness of the Toman Village community for flood disasters. The type of research used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. Respondents were selected using the Lameshow formula with a total of 98 respondents and a questionnaire that had passed the validity test. The results showed that 89 respondents (90.8%) were categorized as ready, while the remaining 9 respondents (9.2%) were categorized as unprepared. Bivariate analysis revealed knowledge (p- value = 0.000), attitudes (p-value = 0.001), emergency response plans (p-value = 0.000), disaster warning systems (p-value = 0.000), and resource mobilization (p- value = 0.006).
