ANALISIS FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (FTA) MENGENAI PERDAGANGAN ELEKTRONIK DI INDONESIA: STUDI KASUS ASEAN CHINA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (ACFTA)

This research analyses the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Regarding Electronic Trade in Indonesia: Case Study of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA)" the implementation of ACFTA towards the growth of e-commerce in Indonesia from the point of view of national interest. With a qualitative approach and descriptive method, this research is taken from various literature, scientific publications, and official documents. By adopting Neuchterlein Donald E's Theory of National Interest, which takes into account the international order, ideology, economic interests, and Defence. The results of this study ACFTA significantly affects e-commerce in Indonesia showing that by expanding market access, attracting foreign investment, and increasing regional economic cooperation, ACFTA has had a positive impact on the expansion of e-commerce in Indonesia. However, there are shortcomings for trade liberalisation as well, such as the need to increase national cyber security and policies and fierce competition from Chinese goods and services. All things are considered, if adaptive policies, UMKM protection, and digital infrastructure development already exist, ACFTA gives Indonesia a strategic opportunity to improve its digital economy and global competitiveness.
