ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI PEMBERIAN TERAPI PENCEGAHAN TUBERCULOSIS PADA PROGRAM PENANGGULANGAN TB DI KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM TAHUN 2024
Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the public health issues that requires comprehensive prevention efforts. One important strategy to suppress the development of latent TB infection into active TB is through the implementation of Tuberculosis Prevention Therapy (TPT). This study aims to analyze the implementation of the TPT program in Muara Enim District Health Centers based on input, process, and output aspects. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method in four health centers: Tanjung Enim, Muara Enim, Beringin, and Sugiwaras. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the heads of the health centers, TB program managers, laboratory staff, the Health Office, and Global Fund technical staff, and then analyzed thematically. The results showed that the availability of human resources in several health centers was adequate, but some still needed additional staff. There is no specific DPT team within the TB team structure. Collaboration between TB officers, laboratories, pharmacies, and the health office is already underway, but coordination with private health facilities is not yet optimal because some clinics are not consistently reporting cases. The involvement of village governments, cadres, and the community is also still limited. DPT implementation in the four health centers has not yet reached the national target of 50%, indicating that DPT implementation is not yet optimal. Strengthening of policies and implementation strategies is needed, including strengthening multisectoral collaboration and networking with private facilities, ensuring the availability of TPT drugs, increasing the capacity of health workers, and equalizing service facilities and infrastructure to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of TB prevention programs at the primary care level
