DETERMINAN PENERAPAN KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA (K3) PADA PERAWAT DI RUMAH SAKIT KHUSUS PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Workplace accidents remain a significant problem at the South Sumatra Provincial Specialized Hospital, reflecting the hospital's weak occupational safety and health management and the lack of safe behavior among nursing staff when performing their duties. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) among psychiatric nurses at the South Sumatra Provincial Specialized Hospital. The research design used is cross-sectional with a sample size of 125 nurses selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires to identify factors related to OSH implementation. Statistical analysis showed that knowledge (p-value=0,000), attitude (p-value=0,005), actions (p-value=0,000), policies (p-value=0,000), and supervision (p-value=0,045) had a significant relationship with the implementation of OSH, while the variables of training and availability of facilities and infrastructure did not show a significant relationship. Of all the variables studied, nursing actions were the most influential factor in the successful implementation of OSH in hospitals. These findings indicate that internal factors such as individual behavior and external factors such as management support interact with each other in determining the effectiveness of OSH implementation. Therefore, hospitals are advised to implement policies that support the strengthening of the OSH system, including the formation of an active OSH team, continuous competency-based training, the provision of adequate safety equipment, and routine monitoring and internal audits. In addition, the implementation of a reward and penalty system and psychological support for high-risk nurses is necessary to create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
