EVALUASI PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL AKSESI T1 DAN TR1 PADA BC2F5 DENGAN PEMBANDING TETUA PADA LAHAN RAWA LEBAK DANGKAL DI DESA PELABUHAN DALAM, PEMULUTAN
Rice (Oryza sativa) is one of the most important food crops worldwide. Rice can be grown on sub-optimal land, and the land most often used for rice cultivation is swampland. However, farmers face the challenge of uncertainty in predicting the height of water levels. This study aims to determine the yield and growth of T1 and TR1 accessions resulting from the cross between Inpara 8 and Inpago 5 as parents on lowland swamp. This study was conducted in Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Pemulutan, using a randomized block design (RBD) with five accessions and varieties treatments, each repeated three times. The results of this study showed that plant height at 6 weeks after planting (WAP) had a significant effect, with a plant height of 95.67 cm for the TR1 accession. Plant height at 8 weeks after planting had a significant effect, with a height of 115.87 cm for accession T1. The number of tillers at 8 weeks after planting had a significant effect on the Inpari 32 variety, with 17 tillers. Meanwhile, the number of productive tillers had a significant effect on the Inpara 8 variety, with 13 productive tillers. Flowering age had a significant effect on the Inpari 32 variety, with an average of 61 HST. Panicle length showed a significant effect with a value of 31.96 cm in the Inpago 5 variety. Grain weight per panicle showed no significant effect, with the highest grain weight of 41.94 g from the Inpara 8 variety and the lowest grain weight of 27.27 g from the TR1 accession. The harvest index showed a significant effect with a value of 116.70% in the Inpari 32 variety. Productivity did not have a significant effect between accessions and varieties. The highest productivity was found in the Inpara 8 variety with a value of 8.34 tons/ha. The conclusion of this study is that accessions T1 and TR1 have higher plant growth. However, the number of tillers and productive tillers produced was lower than Inpara 8 variety as the male parent and Inpago 5 as the female parent. The results of accessions T1 and TR1 show less than optimal results compared to the parent variety. Therefore, it is recommended to fertilize twice before the rice flowers to increase productivity.
