UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BATANG SUKUN (Artocarpus altilis) PADA TIKUS WISTAR DENGAN GAGAL GINJAL
The bark of breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids and phenolics that have antioxidant potential. This study aimed to determine the effect of breadfruit bark ethanol extract (EEKBS) on Wistar rats induced with gentamicin and piroxicam, causing oxidative stress. A total of 30 test animals were divided into 6 treatment groups, namely the normal group (Na-CMC), negative group (gentamicin 100 mg/kgBB and piroxicam 3.6 mg/kgBB), positive group (ketosteril 55 mg/kgBB), and EEKBS test groups at doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kgBW. Antioxidant activity was tested by measuring malondialdehyde (MDA), catalase (CAT), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels.
