ANALISIS SENTIMEN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KEBIJAKAN KENAIKAN TUNJANGAN DPR RI DI MEDIA SOSIAL X

Social media is a forum or platform for discussion space for the public, one of the issues that is currently phenomenal is the issue of increasing allowances for the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia which raises pros and cons, this issue emerged after the plan to increase the allowance of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia was known by the public and was widely discussed on social media X. This study aims to analyze public sentiment towards the policy of increasing the allowance of the House of Representatives on social media X in the period of August 21 - September 07, 2025 used to see the views and opinions that arise and dominate this allowance increase policy. The method used in the study is a descriptive quantitative method with a sentiment analysis approach that classifies comments into three categories: positive, negative and neutral. The results of sentiment analysis are then described using political rhetorical theory using three elements, namely ethos, pathos, and logos. Data was collected through web crawling using google colab tweet harvest programming with #Tunjangandpr keywords and analyzed using the RapidMiner application and manuals obtained as many as 492 net data. Of the total 492 tweets, 4% were positive, 67% were negative and 29% were neutral. This study shows that the dominant sentiment is negative sentiment, the analysis of political rhetorical theory on this negative sentiment shows that this policy cannot be able to build emotional closeness and is considered illogical and relevant to social reality.
