STRATEGI MANAJEMEN PROGRAM CAHAYA HATI INDONESIA DI INEWS TV DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN EKSISTENSI DI TENGAH PERSAINGAN INDUSTRI TELEVISI
This study examines management strategies in maintaining the existence of a religious television program, using Cahaya Hati Indonesia broadcast on iNews, a national television station, as a case study. The program represents how religious broadcasting can remain sustainable and relevant amid competition in the television industry and changes in audience viewing behavior. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and documentation methods. The research informants consist of a producer, an associate producer, creative team members, and an academic as an external informant to validate the research findings. The results indicate that the implementation of management functions, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, plays a crucial role in sustaining the continuity of Cahaya Hati Indonesia. Planning is conducted through theme selection based on Islamic values and current social issues; organizing is implemented through role distribution and cross-divisional coordination; actuating is carried out through direction and adaptability during production; and controlling is conducted through program performance evaluation based on content quality, ratings, and audience responses. This analysis is based on George R. Terry’s management theory. The study concludes that structured, consistent, and adaptive management strategies significantly influence the program’s sustainability.
