PERANCANGAN PASAR RAKYAT GELUMBANG
Gelumbang People's Market is the largest economic pulse in Gelumbang District and the surrounding districts. In the nearly 30 years since its establishment, there has been no significant development or progress, with market development focused solely on the addition of semi-permanent stalls or kiosks. Meanwhile, other facilities such as utility systems, parking areas, and loading and unloading areas have been neglected, leading to various problems such as unpleasant odors, muddy corridors, damp rooms, and daily traffic jams due to the limited parking and loading and unloading areas. It is regrettable that this situation will continue, as it will reduce public interest in shopping at the traditional market and encourage people to choose modern retail for their daily needs, which will directly impact local economic actors. The design of the Gelumbang people's market aims to improve the current market conditions which are quite concerning, starting with the observation of existing conditions using the Post-Occupation Evaluation (EPH) method to determine the extent to which this market is suitable for building and using standards issued by the government such as SNI, Presidential Regulations (Perpres) ministerial regulations (Permen) Regional regulations (Perda) literature studies and precedent studies related to the design of people's markets as solutions or references for market design. By designing the market through this method, it is able to overcome both physical and non-physical market problems, and is able to make a people's market that can compete with modern markets.
