PEMETAAN SPASIAL TIMBULAN SAMPAH DAN EVALUASI KINERJA PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI PERMUKIMAN TEPIAN SUNGAI WILAYAH SEBERANG ULU I
Waste generation problems in riverside settlements of Seberang Ulu I District indicate significant domestic activity pressure affecting environmental quality. This study aims to spatially map waste generation points and disposal locations, calculate household waste generation rates based on SNI 19-2454-2002, and evaluate waste management performance using the Waste Management Performance Index (IKPS) following the 2020 Ministry of Environment and Forestry guidelines with indicator weighting through expert judgment. The methods include field surveys, waste generation measurements during the observation period, and spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results identified ten affected zones covering a total area of 214.88 m², with waste concentrated in specific river segments. Total household waste generation reached 406.65 kg, consisting of 47.97% organic waste, 25.51% mixed waste, and 22.39% mixed plastic waste, indicating limited source separation practices. IKPS values ranged from 63.682% to 68.287% across four urban villages, categorized as “Fair,” indicating that the waste management system has been implemented but remains suboptimal.
