EVALUASI STATUS KESUBURAN TANAH PADA AREAL PRA-REPLANTING PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT DI PT TUNAS BARU LAMPUNG TBK, BANYUASIN, DIVISI SIDOMULYO
Oil palm pre-replanting is an evaluative stage prior to replanting that aims to assess soil fertility conditions as a basis for land improvement planning. This study aimed to evaluate the soil fertility status in the pre-replanting area at PT Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk, Banyuasin, Sidomulyo Division, based on soil chemical properties parameters. Soil samples were collected using a purposive sampling method from three blocks at a depth of 0–30 cm and subsequently analyzed in the laboratory. The results showed that the soil was classified as very acidic (pH < 4.00), with moderate to high organic matter content. However, phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) levels were low, nitrogen (N) was categorized as moderate, and base saturation (BS) was low, indicating the dominance of acidic cations in the exchange complex. The cation exchange capacity (CEC) values indicated a limited ability of the soil to exchange and supply basic cations, thereby reducing the soil’s capacity to optimally support oil palm growth. Based on these parameters, the area was classified as having low soil fertility status. Therefore, corrective measures such as liming to increase soil pH and base saturation, as well as phosphorus and potassium fertilization based on oil palm growth requirement criteria, are required prior to replanting implementation.
