PENGARUH PRODUKSI PUPUK UREA,INTESITAS PENGGUNAAN LAHAN, PERKEBUNAN KARET DAN PRODUKSI KARET TERHADAP EMISI KARBON DI ASEAN 4
This study aims to analyze the effects of urea fertilizer production, the intensity of land use in rubber plantations, and rubber production on carbon emissions in ASEAN countries using panel data analysis methods. The study employs quantitative data obtained from secondary sources provided by FAOSTAT. The results indicate that land-use intensity in rubber plantations has a significant effect on increasing carbon emissions in the ASEAN region. Land-use change, particularly the conversion of forest areas into rubber plantations, contributes to the reduction of carbon stocks and an increase in CO₂ emissions. In addition, the use of urea fertilizer has a significant effect on carbon emissions, which is closely related to processes within the nitrogen cycle and the release of greenhouse gases. Simultaneously, land use and fertilizer use are proven to have a significant impact on carbon emissions. The findings emphasize that the intensification and expansion of rubber plantations must be accompanied by more sustainable land and fertilizer management policies. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for consideration in formulating environmentally friendly agricultural policies to reduce carbon emissions in the ASEAN region.
