ANALISIS HUBUNGAN LOKASI LINGKUNGAN TEMPAT TINGGAL (PERKOTAAN & PERDESAAN) DENGAN RISIKO KEJADIAN DIARE PADA BALITA DI PROVINSI JAWA BARAT BERDASARKAN DATA SKI 2023
Diarrhea remains a major health problem among toddlers, influenced by their living conditions and environment, particularly in West Java Province. In West Java, the incidence of diarrhea among toddlers has reached 11%, making it the highest on Java Island and the third highest nationally based on diagnoses and reported symptoms. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the incidence of diarrhea among toddlers in urban and rural areas of West Java Province based on data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI). The research applies a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design and total sampling technique, with a sample size of 3,714 respondents who were analyzed up to the bivariate stage using the chi-square test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the type of toilet in urban areas (p-value 0.022) and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in West Java Province. However, no relationship was found between the location of the residential environment (p-value 0.598), immunization in rural areas (p-value 0.871) and urban areas (p-value 0.927), drinking water facilities in rural areas (p-value 0.418), and urban areas (p-value 0.529), physical quality of drinking water in rural areas (p-value 0.305), and urban areas (p-value 0.653), types of house floors in rural areas (p-value 0.544) and urban areas (p-value 0.766), waste management in rural areas (p-value 1.000) and urban areas (p-value 0.997), wastewater disposal in rural areas (p-value 1.000) and urban areas (p-value 0.190). The conclusion of this study shows that the toddler and environmental factors analyzed have not been proven to be significantly related to the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers based on the 2023 SKI data.
