HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN INTRAPERSONAL DENGAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN PANCASILA PADA SISWA KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 11 PALEMBANG
This study aims to examine the relationship between intrapersonal intelligence and learning independence in Pancasila Education among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Palembang. The research employed a quantitative correlational design involving 76 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected by classroom observation and using intrapersonal intelligence and learning independence questionnaires. The results of the questionnaire analysis indicate that students’ intrapersonal intelligence is predominantly in the moderate to high category, while learning independence is generally categorized as moderate to high, although a small proportion of students still demonstrate low learning independence. Observation results show an improvement in students’ learning independence across meetings, indicating a positive learning behavior development. Statistical analysis using the Pearson correlation test reveals a significance value of p < 0.05 with a correlation coefficient of 0.983, which indicates a strong and positive relationship between intrapersonal intelligence and learning independence. These findings suggest that higher intrapersonal intelligence is closely associated with stronger learning independence in Pancasila Education, highlighting the importance of fostering students’ self-awareness and self-regulation to support independent learning.
