ANALISIS DETERMINAN KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI DI INDONESIA : STUDI SURVEI KESEHATAN INDONESIA (SKI) 2023
Hypertension or high blood pressure, is one of the health problems that is significantly associated with high global mortality rates each year. In Indonesia, the 2023 Indonesia Health Survey reported a hypertension prevalence of 8.0% among the population aged ≥15 years based on physician diagnosis. Although this percentage appears relatively low, the number of affected individuals reaching tens of thousands reflects a substantial future public health burden. This study aims to analyze the occurrence of hypertension and its determinant factors using data from the 2023 Indonesia Health Survey (SKI). A total of 638,178 respondents were analyzed using a complex sample approach and logistic regression based on the framework of Lawrence W. Green and Marshall W. Kreuter. The analysis results indicate significant associations between age, sex, education, employment status, place of residence, economic status, and level of ease of access to health facilities with the occurrence of hypertension. Age was identified as the most dominant factor associated with hypertension, with odds 10.870 times higher (95% CI: 10.264–11.511). These findings highlight the importance of strengthening policies and optimizing hypertension prevention programs to reduce the occurrence of hypertension and its subsequent impacts in Indonesia.
