PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN PADI AKSESI T3 DAN TR3 GENERASI BC2F5 PADA LAHAN RAWA LEBAK DANGKAL, DI DESA PELABUHAN DALAM, KECAMATAN PEMULUTAN, KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Rice is an important agricultural commodity that requires adaptive varieties to enhance production, especially in lowland swamp areas with a varied growing conditions. The objective of this study was to evaluate the growth of T3 and TR3 accessions resulted from the crossbreeding of Inpara 8 and Inpago 5 rice varieties, which have good growth and high yield. This study was conducted on shallow swamp land in Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Pemulutan, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra from May to August 2025. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatments used were accessions of T3 and TR3, compared with parent varieties of Inpara 8 and Inpago 5, and also Inpari 32 as commercial variety. The data obtained were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method, then tested using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% level. The parameters observed included plant height, number of tillers, number of productive tillers, flowering age, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, percentage of empty grains, grain weight per tiller, weight of 100 grains, grain length, grain width, harvest index and yield. The results showed that accession T3 exhibited good growth performance and produced grain yields 3,26% higher than Inpara 8, 23,50% higher than Inpago 5 and 12,39% higher than Inpari 32. Accession TR3 produced grain yields 11,32% and 1,30% higher than Inpago 5 and Inpari 32, respectively, but 7,34% lower than Inpara 8. Thus, the T3 and TR3 accessions have the potential to be further developed as new improved varieties.
