EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM PENANGGULANGAN PENYAKIT TUBERCULOSIS (TBC) OLEH DINAS KESEHATAN KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM
Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the infectious diseases that remains a serious health problem in Indonesia, including in Muara Enim District. The high number of TB cases indicates that TB control efforts need to be reviewed to determine their effectiveness. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program implemented by the Muara Enim District Health Office. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through indepth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saladana (2014: 12-13) model. The analysis of program effectiveness was based on Edy Sutrisno's (2007) theory, which includes the dimensions of program implementation, targeting, timeliness, achievement of objectives, and tangible changes. The results of the study indicate that the Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program by the Muara Enim District Health Office has been effective. The understanding of program implementers and targets is relatively good, the program has targeted the groups in need, and the implementation of activities has been carried out according to the specified time frame. In terms of achieving objectives, there has been an increase in the recovery rate of TB patients, and there has been a noticeable change in the form of increased patient awareness of the importance of completing TB treatment. However, there are still several obstacles, such as limitations in detecting TB cases, which hinder the program's reach. One of the contributing factors is the stigma attached to TB in the community, which results in some of the program's target groups being unwilling to undergo health checks.
