PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS PAKAN HIJAUAN HIDROPONIK GABAH PADI
The background of the research is based on the problem of limited availability of quality forage, especially in the dry season and limited availability of quality forage, so that efficient, fast-harvesting, and environmentally friendly feed innovations are needed. This study analyzes the use of low-quality rice grain as raw material for Hydroponic Green Feed (PHH) with the addition of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) derived from biogas digester waste to increase productivity. This research was conducted in November-December 2025 at the Experimental Cage Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used was an experiment with two treatments, namely control (water) and the addition of POC by 10%, with each treatment carried out as many as 10 replications and observation parameters including harvest weight, plant height, and dry matter content. The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer significantly increased the weight of the hydroponic rice husk (PHH) by 23.6% (from 596.1 g to 736.7 g), increased plant height by 19.09% (from 10.22 cm to 10.84 cm), and achieved an average dry matter content of 27.5%, indicating good nutritional quality, digestibility, and palatability for livestock. This study concluded that the application of liquid organic fertilizer from biogas waste positively increased the productivity of hydroponic green fodder made from rice grain, both in terms of quantity and plant growth.
