UJI AKTIVITAS HEPATOPROTEKTOR EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SUNGKAI (Peronema canescens Jack) PADA TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR YANG DIINDUKSI CCl4
Sungkai leaves (Peronema canescens Jack) are known to contain secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, which exhibit antioxidant activity and potential as hepatoprotective agents. This study aimed to evaluate the hepatoprotective activity of ethanol extract of sungkai leaves in male Wistar rats induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) based on SGOT and SGPT levels, as well as macroscopic and histopathological observations of the liver. Sungkai leaves were extracted using maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent. The study was conducted on 30 rats divided into six groups: normal control (Na CMC 0.5% p.o), positive control (silymarin 100 mg/kgBW), negative control (CCl4 1 mL/kgBW i.p), and treatment groups receiving extract doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kgBW. The results showed that the ethanol extract significantly (p
