HUBUNGAN USIA DAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DI RSUD SITI FATIMAH PALEMBANG
The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults continues to increase, but the relationship between age, anxiety levels, and quality of life still shows varying results. This study aims to determine the relationship between age and anxiety levels with the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 121 type 2 diabetes mellitus outpatients selected using purposive sampling, then calculated with the Slovin formula. Data collection was conducted using a demographic questionnaire, an anxiety level questionnaire (ZSAS), and a quality of life questionnaire (DQoL). Data were analyzed with the Spearman test. The results showed no significant relationship between age and quality of life based on a p-value = 0.794 (p>0.05) and an r value of -0.024. Quality of life was influenced by other factors such as sleep disturbances, physical discomfort, activity limitations, and feelings of being a burden to the family.
