The development of information technology encourages the improvement of academic services through integrated systems. SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Palembang still faces challenges in managing academic data manually, which is inefficient and prone to errors. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Academic Information System (SIAKAD) using the prototype method to meet user needs. The stages include requirement gathering, design, evaluation, and refinement. The result is a system that can manage data quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner, while providing easy access for administrators, teachers, and students.
