The agricultural sector plays a vital role in Indonesia's economic structure. The potential for development in this sector, in line with Indonesia's character as an agricultural country, is enormous for driving regional economic growth. Climate change that triggers drought is a major factor in crop failure, thus impacting on declining production yields and farmer welfare. Rice production is greatly influenced by climate change such as El Nino. Sungai Dua Village is a village that is a rice growing center. Household income of rice farmers consists of income from rice farming, non-rice farming, and non-farm income. Household consumption expenditure consists of food and non-food consumption. The Household Income Exchange Rate of Farmers (NTPRTP) is a measure of farmer household welfare. The objectives of this study are (1) To describe rice cultivation carried out by farmers during El Nino and normal seasons in Sungai Dua Village (2) To analyze differences in rice farmers' income due to the impact of climate change in Sungai Dua Village (3) To analyze differences in the level of welfare of rice farmers due to the impact of climate change in Sungai Dua Village. This research was conducted from December 2025 to January 2026 with a sample size of 45. The research method used was a survey and interview method with the help of a questionnaire, while the sampling method used a simple random sampling method. The results of the study showed that rice farming cultivation has different treatments during El Nino and normal seasons at the stages of sowing, planting, irrigation, and fertilization, as well as the same treatment, namely land preparation, HPT control, harvesting and post-harvest. Rice farming income experienced a significant decrease during El Nino and normal seasons, namely Rp9.490.221, the average rice farming income during the normal season was Rp21.042.056 and during El Nino it became Rp11.551.832. The Household Farmer Income Exchange Rate (NTPRTP) also experienced changes, during the norma l season it was 1.95 and experienced a significant decrease during El Nino by 0.65 to 1.31. Even though NTPRTP has decreased, during El Nino and normal seasons rice farmers are considered prosperous. Keywords: climate change, income, welfare.
