PENGARUH FAKTOR SOSIAL EKONOMI DAN PERAN GENDER TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS DAN PENDAPATAN USAHATANI PADI RAWA LEBAK DI KECAMATAN SIRAH PULAU PADANG
Socio-economic factors such as education, age, length of farming, and farm capital, as well as gender roles, including decision-making and farm management, are suspected to influence the productivity and income of lowland swamp rice farming in Sirah Pulau Padang Subdistrict. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the characteristics of socioeconomic factors and gender roles in lowland swamp rice farming in Sirah Pulau Padang Subdistrict, (2) to determine the influence of socio-economic factors and gender roles on the productivity of lowland swamp rice farming in Sirah Pulau Padang Subdistrict, and (3) to determine the influence of socioeconomic factors and gender roles on the income of lowland swamp rice farming in Sirah Pulau Padang Subdistrict. This research was conducted in Sirah Pulau Padang Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency from December 2025 to January 2026. The research method used was survey method and simple random sampling method. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The data processing method used was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study are (1) The socio-economic characteristics and gender roles show that the farmers are predominantly elementary school graduates (71.67%), aged 51–59 years (56.67%), and have 23–33 years of farming experience (56.67%). Farm capital ranges from IDR 522,667 to IDR 4,307,500 per planting season per cultivated area. Meanwhile, gender roles are dominated by men in farming activities. (2) The variables of farming experience and farm capital have a significant effect on rice farming productivity. The R² value of 0.300 indicates that 30.0% of the variation in productivity can be explained by the model. The average productivity is 4,532 kg/ha. (3) The variables of farming experience and farm capital have a significant effect on rice farming income. The R² value of 0.804 indicates that 80.4% of the variation in income can be explained by the model. The average income is IDR 17,906,951 per planting season.
