HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERSEPSI FATHERLESS DAN EFIKASI DIRI KEPEMIMPINAN SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 1 PALEMBANG
The phenomenon of fatherlessness has the potential to influence students’ psychological development, particularly in the formation of self-confidence and leadership. This study aims to examine the relationship between perceptions of fatherlessness and leadership self-efficacy among students at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sampling technique used was inconvenience sampling. The research instruments consisted of a Fatherlessness Perception Scale using a Likert scale and a Leadership Self-Efficacy Scale with a graded response format. Data analysis was conducted using the non-parametric Spearman’s Rho correlation technique. The results showed that students’ perceptions of fatherlessness were categorized as moderate, while students’ leadership self-efficacy was categorized as high. The correlation analysis indicated that there was no significant relationship between perceptions of fatherlessness and leadership self-efficacy among students. These findings suggest that the absence of a father figure does not directly influence students’ leadership self-efficacy. Instead, leadership self-efficacy tends to be influenced by other factors, such as family support, school environment, peer relationships, teacher support, and students’ organizational experiences at school.
