Rubber is a potential commodity that plays an important role as a source of the country's foreign exchange revenue, labor absorption, a driver of economic growth in new centers around rubber plantations, and environmental conservation. Rubber is one of the important plantation commodities, both as a source of income, employment opportunities, and a driver of economic growth in new centers around rubber plantations, as well as environmental and biodiversity conservation. This study aims to analyze the level of sustainability of rubber farming seen from the human resources side, namely the availability and competence of labor in Mendis Village, Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency and examine the factors that influence the availability of labor, namely age of the workforce, number of family members, gender differences, and the culture of mutual cooperation, side jobs and ethnic diversity in supporting the sustainability of rubber farming. This research was conducted in Mendis Village, Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency from December 2025 until completion. This study used a simple random sampling with 60 respondents and data analysis using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results of the study show that the sustainability of rubber farming seen from the aspect of human resources, namely the availability and competence of labor is in the category of fairly sustainable with an average score of 18.49. This shows This reflects that the availability and competence of labor is sufficient to support farming activities. However, there are still obstacles such as limited labor at certain times, less than optimal abilities, and the influence of weather that hinders tapping. Therefore, improvements in workforce management and skills are needed to ensure optimal farming sustainability. The age of the workforce, the number of family members, land area, and gender differences have a positive and significant impact on labor availability, while the length of farming, the culture of mutual cooperation, and side jobs have a negative and significant impact on labor availability. The number of family members and ethnic diversity have a negative and not significant impact. Simultaneously, the variables studied have a significant impact on labor availability to support the sustainability of rubber farming.
