ALOKASI TENAGA KERJA USAHATANI KELAPA SAWIT PETANI SWADAYA DI KECAMATAN TELUK GELAM KABUPATEN OGA KOMERING ILIR
The plantation sector plays an important role in supporting economic growth and improving farmers' welfare in Indonesia, particularly through oil palm farming. Independent oil palm farmers in Teluk Gelam District rely on the allocation of labor in various farming activities, which can influence production efficiency and farmers income. This study aims to: (1) To identify the labor allocation patterns of independent smallholder farmers in oil palm farming in Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (2) To estimate the effect of labor allocation on the income of independent smallholder farmers in Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Data was collected from December 2025. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, and a total of 30 independent oil palm farmers were selected as respondents in Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The data used consists of primary and secondary data. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis, farm income analysis, and simple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of labor allocation on farmer income. The results showed that the total use of labor was 61.37 HOK/ha/year consisting of family labor 23.06 HOK/ha/year and non-family labor 38.31 HOK/ha/year, with harvesting activities as the largest labor absorber, namely 55.72 HOK/ha/year. The average income of independent smallholder oil palm farming was Rp75.982.318/ha/year. Regression analysis showed that labor allocation had a positive and significant effect on farmer income (sig. 0.001 < 0.05).
