EFISIENSI KERJA PEMBAJAKAN DENGAN BAJAK PIRING MENGGUNAKAN BULRIPPER DI PT MUSI HUTAN PERSADA
Land preparation in the Industrial Forest Plantation (HTI) sector demands high mechanization efficiency to overcome challenges posed by complex topography and extreme soil compaction. PT Musi Hutan Persada utilizes a bullripper unit as a primary support for disc plow operations during primary tillage. This study aims to evaluate the work efficiency of such plowing operations through the analysis of technical parameters across varying speeds (1 m/s and 0.9 m/s) and topographic conditions (uphill and downhill trajectories) over a distance of 90 meters. The methodology employed is a field experimental method with direct primary data collection. Key parameters analyzed include Theoretical Field Capacity (KLT) and Effective Field Capacity (KLE), calculated based on the ratio of land area to actual travel time, along with wheel slip analysis to measure traction loss. The results indicate that the highest KLT was achieved at a speed of 1 m/s, reaching 0.587 ha/h. Optimal performance was identified in the V1T1 treatment (1 m/s speed on a downhill trajectory) with a KLE value of 0.466 ha/h and a work efficiency of 78.03%. Conversely, gravitational resistance on uphill trajectories triggered a significant increase in wheel slip, peaking at 14.85% in the V2T2 treatment. This increase directly reduced work efficiency to 75.30% due to prolonged travel time and increased engine workload. Overall, plowing operations using a bullripper unit in the concession area demonstrated effective performance with an average efficiency exceeding 75%. The utilization of higher speeds on downhill tracks proved to be the most productive by minimizing traction loss in the tractor's crawler tracks.
