AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN BOROCO (CELOSIA ARGENTEA) TERHADAP BAKTERI PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI
This study examined the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of Boroco leaves (Celosia argentea) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of ethanol extract of Boroco leaves and to identify the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) against the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), and the data were analyzed using a One Way ANOVA test. Antibacterial activity testing and MIC determination were conducted using the disc diffusion method (Kirby–Bauer). The ethanol extract of Boroco leaves was tested at concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%. The results of the One Way ANOVA analysis indicated that the ethanol extract of Boroco leaves had a significant effect on the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Furthermore, the MIC test was carried out at concentrations of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4%, with the MIC value obtained at a concentration of 2%. The results of this study were implemented in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) for Senior High School Biology Grade X, Phase E, on the topic of biodiversity and its roles.
