AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN HARENDONG BULU (CLIDEMIA HIRTA) TERHADAP BAKTERI STREPTOCOCCUS PYOGENES DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of harendong bulu leaves (Clidemia hirta) against the growth of Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). The research method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 repetitions and data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA Test and continued with Duncan's Significant Difference (NDD) Test. The antibacterial activity test was carried out using the disc diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer) with extract concentrations of 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10% (g/v), while the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) test used the disc diffusion method (Kirby-Baeur) with extract concentrations of 0%, 2.1%, 2.2%, 2.3%, 2.4%, and 2.5% (g/v). The results showed that the ethanol extract of harendong bulu leaves (Clidemia hirta) had a significant effect on Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) obtained was in the range of 0% - 2.1%. The contribution of the research results was in the form of a teaching module equipped with Student Worksheets with a Kappa Coefficient value of 0.61 which was interpreted well so that it could be used in the learning of biology for Grade X Senior High School Phase E on the material of Diversity of Living Things and Their Roles.
