ANALISIS HUBUNGAN FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN ISPA PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SIMPANG TIMBANGAN KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI) ranks first in the group of toddler diseases in 2025 in the working area of Simpang Timbangan Community Health Center, Ogan Ilir Regency. ARI is disease that can cause respiratory disorders and even death. The purpose of this study is analyze the relationship between environmental factors and the incidence of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection in toddlers in the working area of Simpang Timbangan Community Health Center, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2025. This study used a Cross Sectional design, the study population was 1463 mothers who had toddlers (0-5 years). The sampling technique was Purposive Sampling on 99 respondents. Data analysis included univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the chi-square test, and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression tests. The results of the study showed a relationship between room temperature (p-value = 0.021; OR = 2.583), room humidity (p-value = 0.025; OR = 2.627), room ventilation area (p-value = 0.010; OR = 3.000), and room occupancy density (p-value = 0.005; OR = 3.340) with the incidence of ISPA in toddlers. There was no relationship between maternal education level (p-value = 0.774; OR = 1.138), household income (p-value = 0.139; OR = 1.943), community culture (p-value = 0.085; OR = 2.022), type of room wall (p-value = 0.242; OR = 1.682), and type of room floor (p-value = 0.074; OR = 2.184) with the incidence of ISPA in toddlers. Room occupancy density was the most dominant variable influencing the incidence of ISPA in toddlers (p-value 0.038) (OR = 2.751; CI = 1.058-7.156) which means it increases the risk of ISPA in toddlers by 2.751 times compared to toddlers living in rooms with adequate occupancy density. This study expects the implementation program fostering and educating healthy home quality standards that are appropriate to the conditions of the home environment.
