PEMETAAN POTENSI GENANGAN DENGAN PARAMETER TEKNIS DAN KEPADATAN SAMPAH SUNGAI DI PERMUKIMAN TEPIAN SUNGAI KECAMATAN ILIR TIMUR II
Riverside settlements in Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City, are densely populated areas highly vulnerable to seasonal inundation due to excessive river waste disposal, flat topography, and inadequate drainage. This study aims to map river waste distribution and produce an inundation potential map by integrating technical riparian parameters with waste density using GIS-based Weighted Overlay analysis. Six variables were analyzed — land elevation, slope, distance from river, land use type, drainage conditions, and river waste density — with weights determined through expert judgement across 11 observation points. Results show the highest waste spread at point T9 (72.08 m²) and the lowest at T8 (9.93 m²). River waste density received the highest weight (18%), followed by land elevation and settlement distance (17% each). The inundation potential map indicates 8 points (73%) fall under the high category and 3 points (27%) under moderate, with high-potential zones concentrated in low-elevation areas near the Musi River.
