KORELASI POPULASI SPORA MIKORIZA ARBUSKULAR DENGAN pH TANAH DAN P-TERSEDIA PADA LAHAN KOPI ROBUSTA (Coffea Canephora) ORGANIK DI KELURAHAN JOKOH, KECAMATAN DEMPO TENGAH, KOTA PAGAR ALAM
Arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM) play an important role in enhancing phosphorus uptake in organic farming systems. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between soil pH and available phosphorus (P-available) with the population of arbuscular mycorrhizal spores in organic robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) plantations located in Jokoh Subdistrict, Dempo Tengah District, Pagar Alam City. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, beginning with a field survey. Soil sampling was conducted using purposive random sampling at ten observation points. The observed variable included soil pH, available phosphorus (Bray I method), and the number of arbuscular mycorrhizal spores determined using the wet sieving and decanting method. Data were analyzed using regression and correlation analyses. The results showed that soil pH ranged from acidic to slightly acidic, available phosphorus was classified as moderate to high, and the population of arbuscular mycorrhizal spores was categorized as very low. Simultaneously, soil pH and available phosphorus showed no significant relationship with the population of arbuscular mycorrhizal spores.
