HUBUNGAN AKTIVITAS FISIK TERHADAP KEJADIAN OBESITAS SENTRAL DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN (ANALISIS DATA SKI 2023)
Central obesity is the accumulation of fat in the abdominal area, which increases the risk of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Central obesity is defined by waist circumference, which is >90 cm in men and >80 cm in women. Low physical activity is thought to contribute to the increasing incidence of central obesity. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between physical activity and the incidence of central obesity in South Sumatra Province. The study used a cross-sectional design using secondary data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI). The study sample was residents aged 15–54 years in South Sumatra. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the chi-square test, and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression with a risk factor model.
