PARTISIPASI PEMUDA DALAM PENGELOLAAN WISATA BELANTING RIVER TUBING DI DESA KELUMPANG KECAMATAN ULU OGAN KAB OGAN KOMERING ULU
This study aims to describe youth participation in the management of Belanting River Tubing tourism in Ulu Ogan District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This tourism is a nature-based adventure attraction that holds great potential for supporting local economic growth and environmental preservation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed in this study, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The primary focus of this research is youth participation in tourism management and development. The results indicate that youth play a strategic role in both managing and developing the attraction, serving as tour guides, promotional managers via social media, environmental activity coordinators, person-in-charge, and local economic actors. Youth participation is divided into two categories: active and passive. Although challenges such as environmental pollution, limited infrastructure, and a lack of broader community participation persist, youth involvement has proven effective in bridging tourism management and community empowerment. Youth participation is the key to the sustainability and quality improvement of Belanting River Tubing tourism. Keywords: Youth Participation, Tourism Management, Belanting River Tubing, Nature-Based Tourism.
