ANALISIS WACANA BERBASIS KORPUS KOMENTAR PENGGUNA INSTAGRAM PADA POSTINGAN BERDUKA DARI INFLUENCER @JEROMEPOLIN ATAS TRAGEDI AFFAN KURNIAWAN
This study aims to examine the construction of discourse within the Instagram comment section of the condolence post uploaded by @jeromepolin regarding the tragedy of Affan Kurniawan. The death of Affan Kurniawan, an online motorcycle taxi driver who was fatally run over by a tactical vehicle during a public demonstration in August 2025, generated widespread public reactions across digital platforms. The post attracted significant engagement, turning the comment section into a discursive arena where users expressed sympathy, delivered social criticism, and articulated perceptions regarding the relationship between citizens and state institutions. This research employs the Corpus Assisted Discourse Studies (CADS) approach by analyzing user comments through word frequency identification, concordance analysis, and collocation analysis. The results indicate that several dominant lexical items, such as “rakyat” (people), “dpr” (parliament), “pemerintah” (government), “polisi” (police), “affan,” “rip,” “nyawa” (life), “miris” (distressing), and “demo” (protest), form three principal discourse clusters: mourning and humanity discourse, social criticism discourse, and power relation discourse. Furthermore, the findings reveal that digital expressions of mourning are not limited to condolences but are also intertwined with public criticism directed at state institutions perceived as being responsible for the incident. Overall, this study demonstrates that Instagram comment sections function as discursive spaces that reflect public opinion, collective solidarity, and the negotiation of meaning within socio-political contexts in social media environments.
