RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM MONITORING BIMBINGAN TUGAS AKHIR MAHASISWA MENGGUNAKAN METODE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D)

The development of information technology encourage educational institutions to utilize information systems to support academic processes effectively and systematically. However, the final project supervision process for students in the Management Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science, Sriwijaya University still faces several problems, such as supervision activities that are not systematically documented and the absence of a final project progress monitoring feature. This study aims to design and develop the Student Final Project Supervision Monitoring System (SIMBITA) to support the supervision and monitoring process in an integrated manner. The research method used in Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model consisting of Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate stages. The system was developed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The results show that SIMBITA is able to support consultation activities, supervision schedule management, document uploads, comments and revision features, as well as monitoring student final project progress more effectively and computerized.
