PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN MELALUI MEDIA POSTER DI TK BAITULLAH PALEMBANG
This research is motivated by the low listening ability of early childhood children in focusing attention, understanding messages, and responding to teacher instructions during learning. This study aims to improve children's listening ability through the use of poster media in Group B children aged 5–6 years at Baitullah Kindergarten Palembang. The study used classroom action research with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 10 children. Data were collected through structured observation and documentation, then analyzed descriptively by combining qualitative and quantitative data based on three indicators of listening ability. The results of the study showed an increase in children's listening ability after the application of poster media. In the initial conditions, most children had not shown optimal listening ability. In cycle I, the average value of listening ability reached 54.94% with the category of developing as expected. In cycle II, the average value increased to 85.8% and was in the category of developing very well. These results indicate that poster media is effective in improving children's listening ability continuously.
