UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA MELALUI MEDIA CERITA BERGAMBAR ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI TK AYU PALEMBANG

This study aims to determine the improvement of children's speaking ability aged 4-5 years through the application of picture story media in Ayu Kindergarten Palembang. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and MCTaggart Models which are implemented in two cycles, with stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 13 children in group A at Ayu Kindergarten Palembang. The problem found was that children's speaking ability had not developed optimally, characterized by children not being able to express ideas, not daring to answer questions, and not being confident in expressing opinions during learning. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation and field notes. The results of the study showed an increase in children's speaking ability after the application of picture story media. This increase can be seen from the initial condition of children's speaking ability in group A which was in the Very Well Developed (BSB) category before the Action was carried out reaching 7.7%, increasing to 34.4% in cycle I, and in cycle II increasing to 84.6%.
