PENGARUH PERMAINAN PAPAN MENCOCOKKAN ANGKA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENGENALAN BILANGAN ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI TK NEGERI PEMBINA KAYUAGUNG
Number recognition skills influence children's cognitive development, particularly in naming numbers. They also impact fine motor development through eye-hand coordination, increased vocabulary and language skills, and social-emotional development through increased interest in learning and cooperation. This study aims to examine the effect of a number matching board game on the number recognition skills of group A children at Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Kayuagung. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method (preexperimental) through a one-group Pretest-Posttest design. The study sample consisted of 16 group A children selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through structured observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using a one-sample t-test. The results of the Paired Sample TTest analysis showed a calculated t value ≥ ttable, with a calculated tvalue of 3.53 and a t table value of 1.75. Therefore, it can be concluded that the number matching board game influences the number recognition skills of children aged 4–5 years at Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Kayuagung. This game supports fine motor development through hand–eye coordination, enriches vocabulary and language skills, and improves children's enthusiasm for learning and cooperation and for teachers as an interesting learning medium to help children understand the concept of numbers.
