KEMAMPUAN ARGUMENTASI MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI SPLDV DENGAN MODEL TOULMIN
This study aims to describe students' mathematical argumentation skills in SPLDV material using the Toulmin model after APOS theory-based learning. This study is based on the low argumentation skills of students, especially in solving story-based SPLDV problems. The research method used was descriptive with 25 students from class VIII.2 of SMPN 5 North Indralaya in the 2025/2026 academic year selected using purposive sampling. From this number, three students were selected from the test results to represent the high, medium, and low categories for in-depth analysis through interviews. The research instruments used were APOS theory-based LKPD, written tests, and interviews. The data were analyzed based on the Toulmin argumentation model. The results showed that students' mathematical argumentation skills in solving SPLDV problems were not fully met in the Toulmin indicators. Students were generally able to state claims, data, and warrants, but in the backing, qualifier, and rebuttal indicators, students did not consistently write them down in the problem-solving process. Based on these findings, students' mathematical argumentation skills were at level 3 (claim, data, warrant).
